We start by taking the flash tube apart and stripping it of all the
connecting parts that are attached to the top shell.
This picture is off a real Graflex that was converted, it is
different than the one I have pictured throughout this tutorial, but
work for showing a few details. In this picture you can see a bunch of
the small parts (guts) that come out of a real Graflex and you can see
that the ears have also been bent down which I discuss on another
page.
Also you will need a conversion parts kit.
In the picture below can see an older version of an all metal parts
kit that I machined for use in converting the Graflex. These parts
where modified a bit more in order to accommodate the EL electronics
that are show in other pages of this tutorial along with the modifications.
